front end developer

Html, css and javascript, these 3 coding languages are string together for most websites nowadays.  In the course of my job, i created a blog, chance upon a shopping cart theme page.  Search youtube, google, and started modifying the shopping cart theme page and started learning these 3 coding languages.  Somehow my basic knowledge in C++ decades ago helped alot in understanding coding syntax.

A whole new different breed from excel formulations with defined cells, tabs, linkages which are all so easily done, allowing you to just maximised the potentials of the functions for complex algorithms.  Webpage coding algorithms have no complex calculations, but lots of modular function codes to integrate and stitched together.  I have full control over the detail design of the webpage, but limited knowledge in coding workable functions, that is javascript.  Html and javascript, my two nemesis now.

Chinese are still the weak man of Asia

You see lah, you see lah, what papa party has done to our kids.
If you biz have to depend on por then your biz model no good. We should aspire to innovation and forefront of the race, not guan xi and yan jiu yan jiu those weak man of Asia mentality anymore. Its what cause China to be the disgusting knock-off country and the Tianjin chemical explosion, guan xi guan xi.

Industrial leaders like Yamaha, Honda, BMW, Coca Cola dont rely much on guan xi to make it in China anyway. Sg have not invested in people, rely too much on cronyism devaluing meritocracy, see where that get us now.

In a limited way, but guan xi must not be the core of your biz success, its a supplement to circumvent red tape.

Not everybody has the same formula to make it big, just go with the flow. When its your time to make it, it will happen smoothly and naturally. Ray Kroc started MacDonalds at age 59! Now do you see the significance of entrepreneurship here? The goal of Ray Kroc was not making money, its his passion to serve food to people. People see it as a money making success, but to Ray, its his dream to be the top of his game, proving to himself that what he believe all along was right. That in itself pays dividends to his perserverance more than the money that he makes.

Sun Tze Art of War is a good biz tool, what you read in success of others, you may not succeed, but utilise your surrounding, seek opportunity to boost your energy levels.

People should lead their lives for themselves, fulfilling their dreams, not for others. I think people who always focus on making money are living their lives for others, they have no ambition to be better at something, to push themselves in fields of their interests, making money is all that matters, then what? To be richer than others, to be a big bully? Look at all the PRC with disgusting social behaviours, money grabbing attitudes, knock-offs, immitate, piracy, isn['t that you?

To be truly free and live like a free spirited human, dont worry too much about money.

Cheap labour and globalisation of a metropolis

The Seagames is upon a metropolis, Singapore government thrives on their prized imported talents to win in ping pong. Full time professional paddlers that does nothing all day but play ping pong. And they are are paid millions out of tax payers' money for the government's ambition. On the other hand, local sportsmen are not so pampered, they hold full-time jobs, or are students multi-tasking exams and training. Which makes me wonder how does the government define talent? The synchronised swimming win was a milestone for Singapore indeed, the girls are all students, and we understand the grueling MOE curriculum of textbooks crunching and enormous amount of time dedicated to an olympic sport.

Food for thought, now back to the article's title of Cheap labour and globalisation of a metropolis. The same parallel can be drawn on the government's stance on globalisation, with global trade talks among economic powers and emerging market economies, Singapore cannot be recluse in her protectionist policies of local business and job market. Let's rewind back to the late 80s on how things worked in Singapore market and review the changes now. Singapore does not have much to offer except a transit shipping port, oil refineries, oil rig builds and a transit airport. These are her global supply chain contributions and strong assets. But when people come to Singapore, the locals need to muster up and spruce up the place for business, the government fill in the void by setting up Government Linked Companies (GLCs) and a phlethoral initiatives to springboard local businesses to create a vibrant city state. The educated workforce, the innovative businesses, maintaining the status quo of the 3 Ace cards of Singapore's global existence.

Fast forward to present 2015, SG50, how have these initiatives turn out? I hate mincing on details and just evaluate the product and the results it achieves, can't evaluate what it's made of and how it's made? Who can? Those evaluations only put the reader off-track and missed the big picture. Now Singapore is a city state of 3m foreign immigrants, most expensive city in the world, most unhappy people, no welfare state, highest paid cabinet ministers. And sliding world rankings on her shipping ports, airports, lesser digs around the world means less demand for oil rigs to be build.

Who are the winners and losers? Remember the Seagames synchronised win? The real gems are those who strives to succeed with pure will and passion. The losers are the ones who feed on handouts and complacency. For 50 glorious years of wealth creation, Singapore has not created any innovative business that moves and shake the world, not in the Arts, Science or Business, none that is so big that it's worth paying her minsiters global CEO pay packages, wonder where that theory comes from? Here's the end result, local business's cry for keeping costs down, entice the government to influx cheap foreign labour for local business to profit. Too easy a thing is not a good thing, these cheap source of labour leads to complacency and lack innovative drive, cause its highly profitable by driving down the highest costs of businesses, labour. What for innovate when you are making good money with your highest costs of business so cheap? That's no need to create another business model anymore, go cheap, earn big! Remember the China paddlars? They have nothing to do except play ping pong, what an easy job! Remember the synchronised swimmers, they have to balance school work and training, how tough!

And where did all the money earn from having cheap labour goes to? Lamborghinis, Ferraris, ultra expensive prime districts condos, overseas investments. You see how complacent this is going? Any business analytics would know something big is missing from this botox of a metropolis, where are the movers and shakers of the business world? Where is the direction this is heading, there is no plan!!! Go cheaper, sign the TPP, CECA or whatever trade agreement, source for the cheapest labour you can find!!! Oh my god, as we continually indulge in this cheap frenzy, the modern world outside is developing advance robotics in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to overtake some of the jobs humans are doing. Redundancy, automation, cutting down errors, bringing efficiency to another level.

I am no business advisor, can't tell you what product to make, but as a consumer and reviewer, i can tell you that this metropolis as an innovative city is a myth. It has lost its glam, its just a playground for the rich to park their money, its not the place to educate or learn your trade, or even to innovate. There's too many restrictions and ridiculous laws to protect their interests which is meaningless. The model now is only pray that the rich continue to park their money here and suck up to their every whim and fancy, build casinos, build more posh condos, marinas, spruce up little islands. Oh did they mention our hospitality service standards are dropping? Yes, not enough sucking skills, suck up more folks!!! You can hear where that comes from now.

Decay of Cronyism

Some people pride themselves on whiter than white probity, For it is their weapon against opponents too, unforgiving when they caught their opponents with less than perfect scores on their sheet. That is the reason why qualification, and a flawless sheet is the pride and joy of their achievements, they will stop at nothing to make sure their record stays white, at any price. Because their altar of worship collapses like a house of cards if they are exposed to be hypocrites. This delusion of superiority in probity has hampered real talents, mavericks, and creativity within the ranks, the narrow minded and short-sighted view of like-minded cronyism have invited the bottom of the barrel quality candidates into the top ranks. Which is why to outsiders, people start using words like retards, buffoons, idiots, all sorts of degrading labels, because its the truth what?

Extremism

The world is appalled by the sadistics ramblings of ISIS, the rape, the sexual jihads, the killings, beheadings. These are some nobody who make use of something more powerful then themselves to justify their madness / crimes, hiding behind the cloak of anonymity, why do they always wear a masks when they do beheading, or make some ridiculous speech? Then comes to mind how some manipulators of people work too, mega churches, taking millions, and then somewhere along the line, something seems not right? Where's the sanity, where's the balance, when takings tipped the equation of its founding mission, the big cars, big jets, condos starts rolling in. When congregations have to start selling houses to give, pressured to commit for some crossbreeding projects!!! Sounds familiar? Like jihad is to extremists? Yes, where feeble men hide behind a higher power of authority to do their crimes, cohercing believers to do their bidding. Then comes to mind how politicians work too, ***censored**** you know the rest!

Working for the Devil

People who fight, live, breath lies propagated, are they sinning? What about those who know they living a lie, and yet continue to do so? How do people live with themselves depending on lies to live their lives?
Your master release you from incarceration, instead of turning you into a better person, make use of you to do his bidding. Turning you against will of God, ask yourself, do you dare defy God for this master? Serious karmic consequences will befall you or your family, for you know God is omnipotent, no man has power over him.Having a Ghost Rider moment now, "Look into My Eyes and feel their pain!!!!"

Old habits die hard, and you die soon enough!

Has the academic institution been a lopsided educational establishment been exposed?  The plethora of internet know-hows and knowledge far exceeds the performance of academic knowledge and studies, in terms of speed, connection, most notably in derivative trading.

By the time the academics have time to establish views or write a book, the statistics is already all over the internet.  People already know, in fact, people have been able to establish facts so fast, what is published in book form or from the academics is deemed passe or lacking in depth.

So what makes accounting corporate governance a relevant benchmark to gauge a company's performance then?  Are shareholders taken for a ride in the word of corporate accounting?  We all know what is presented at AGM is yesteryear's books, who gives a shit???  People sitting at the AGM already have a feel of the market now!

Likewise, should CEO be paid on their pass performance in full base on yesteryear's books, when shareholders know that this year they are gona quite because its gona be a bad year?

Isn't about time to change the concept of recording old news and make use of now information to renumerate management and workers?  What happen to people? Why are they so reluctant to change?
